Jonathan Jaxson worked for Kim Kardashian briefly as a publicist a few years ago. Since then, he’s attempted to start a career as a gossip blogger, which fizzled out after less than a year. Anyone who read his old blog will remember his emotional instability and desire for the same success Perez Hilton had. He tried to sexually entice Perez Hilton via webcam, which ended in a lawsuit. (Not sure who won.) After that, he vanished into a rural part of Georgia only resurface as Adrian Bailon’s publicist (remember the laptop and the ‘stolen’ pictures?). After it was discovered to be a ruse, he vanished again.

Who is Jaxson? His entre into celebrity was appearing on talk shows to discuss his dysfunctional family. A few years later, he entered the American Idol contest and made it to the California rounds. While there, paparazzi photographed him exiting a hotel where the contestants were staying and labeled him ‘Ryan Seacrest’s boyfriend’. He liked that and wanted more. Hence, he became a publicist and snagged Kim Kardashian as a client. However, Kim later fired him and then hired Celebuzz to handle her online publicity. Jaxson aired his grievances about that on his blog.

Later, he was publicist for Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kim Zolciak. That fizzled back in 2009, with Jaxson taking to he airwaves to list his grievances. The two also sued each other the same year.

Jaxson appeared in studio with B98.5 FM’s Steve McCoy and Vikki Locke to announce that he’s resigned as Zolciak’s manager and publicist because “she’s a habitual liar.” (via PeachBuzz)

Do you see a pattern? Jaxson is a very troubled man.

This week, Matt Damon and Water.org, the charity he co-founded, are launching a water bottle campaign to help some of the 884 million people who lack access to clean, safe water.

“I think what resonates with me most is when you see people living without clean water and they’re forced to scavenge for water and basically use up all of their time just doing that,” Damon said. “You realize that they’re in such a crippling cycle of poverty; it’s just a death spin that they can’t possibly get out of.”

With the purchase of each limited-edition CamelBak Groove reusable water bottle, $10 will go directly to Water.org.

Simon and his new girlfriend

Simon Barney, formerly of the Real Housewives of Orange County, has a new girlfriend. She is the brunette in the photo above. He just posted this photo to his Facebook account.

In an update last season, his former wife, current cast member Tamara Barney stated that her current boyfriend, Eddie Judge, had never been friends with Simon. Last year, Simon claimed that Eddie had been a buddy of his who betrayed him by dating Tamara.

In Hunter S. Thompson’s novel-turned-movie The Rum Diary, Johnny Depp’s character spends a lot of time drinking…specifically rum.

So when mixologists Paul Monahan and Rachel Furman wanted to give a nod to the upcoming film, they looked to capture the exciting and somewhat crazy nature of the characters, as well as honor the unique author behind the story.

Monahan and Furman, US Brand Ambassadors for Sailor Jerry Rum, have shared their recipes for “Hunter’s Punch” and “Etcetera”, below. And if you happen to be in NYC, you can order these cocktails at Mother’s Ruin (18 Spring St).

Hunter’s Punch

1.5 part SJ

2 part pom juice

.5 part lemon
.5 part champagne

Bottom of punch bowl add pom juice and lemon juice. Stir slowly with ice. Add rum and stir some more. Slowly add champagne while stirring. Keep punch cool with minimal ice. Serve chilled in desired glass.

Etcetera

1.5 part Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum

.75 part fresh lime juice

.25 part homemade cinnamon allspice syrup

1 part pineapple juice

Add ingredients to rocks filled mixing glass. Shake. Strain into old fashioned glass.

Serve down in glass. Pineapple juice shaken should give cocktail a nice froth.
