Tom Cruise, His Lawyers, and the FBI
There are some interesting goings on in the case of disgraced private eye Anthony Pellicano. A lawyer involved in the case confirmed that the celebrity divorce lawyer Dennis M. Wasser, who has handled the marital breakups of Hollywood powerhouses like Tom Cruise, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Spielberg, was the lawyer who government investigators say had steered Mr. Pellicano to the lawyer for Kirk Kerkorian, the Las Vegas mogul and former owner of MGM. Kerkorian's lawyer is Terry N. Christensen who was recently indicted for allegedly having the ex-wife of billionaire investor Kirk Kerkorian wiretapped in their paternity and child support battle.
A person familiar with the investigation confirmed that Mr. Cruise, who has also been a legal client of Mr. Fields, was approached by F.B.I. agents at least twice. But it is unclear whether the F.B.I. was seeking to question Mr. Cruise about Mr. Pellicano.
After Tom and Nicole divorced, there was a rumor that bugs were found all over Nicole's section of the house when her belongings were being removed. With that sort of surveillance, everything Nicole said or did would have been known. You can draw your own conclusions from here.

Scary Mardi Gras In New Orleans
Revelers at this year's New Orleans Mardi Gras are returning with less than happy tales. It seems that the New Orleans police force is bitter, angry, overworked, and taking out their resentment on the city's tourists.
"We've seen a guy get taken to jail for petting a horse. We've seen a guy get pulled out of his car, and 5 cops jump on him."
"In both of these situations, there was no reason for the cops to do what they did. Both guys had their girlfriends with them, who seem to be in shock. Everybody who was watching both situations, constantly asking why are you gusy doing that??? He didnt do anything."
"It is pretty common to see people pet the horses. I see alot of girls that do it, and the cops dont seem to mind."
"I had a cop come up behind me and push me. I didnt know it was a cop, he just come up behind me and started shoving me. Well, its not uncommon to get pushed around and bumped by people, walking down bourbon. However, this guy didnt identify himself. All I know is i got someone behind me shoving me. I pushed back with my back turned... and then he gave me a good shove out of the way, nearly knocking me down."
"Some of the cops down here seem very bitter towards the revelers this year. It may be becuase they have hired extra cops from around the country to come down and police mardi gras this year, and those guys are probably itching to take people to jail. I dont know, but we've seen ALOT of questionable behavior from the police this year."
"My friend said she's been pushed by cops 4 times since she's been here. One of them knocked her down in a pile of bourbon street trash gumbo, and did not bother helping her up."
"I had a cop call me an asshole out of the blue. I asked him why he just called me an asshole. He said, "becuase you look like one."
"We've got cops staying all around us in our hotel, and it doesnt smell like cigerettes they are smoking.," said one tourist.
It sounds like the federal government needs to step in and take control of that mess called 'New Orleans'.

George Michael Arrested Again
80s singer George Michael was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs yesterday after being found slumped in his car.
Michael, 42, was taken into custody at Hyde Park Corner, central London just before 2am on Sunday morning after a call from a member of the public. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing class C drugs before being bailed to return to a police station next month. The category includes such drugs as cannabis and GHB, also known as liquid ecstasy. A spokesman for the Metropolitan police said Michael had also initially been arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive, but was de-arrested after a doctor examined him at a central London police station.

Actor Brad Renfro ordered into drug treatment
Actor Brad Renfro, former child star in such films as "The Client" and "Tom and Huck," was ordered into drug treatment program on Thursday after he pleaded guilty to charges of trying to buy heroin.

Renfro, 23, whose arrest in a skid-row drug sweep by undercover police was captured in a front-page picture of the Los Angeles Times, also was placed on three years probation, according to a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
As a condition of his probation, Renfro must submit to random drug tests, spokeswoman Jane Robison said, adding that the actor is slated for another court appearance on March 6.
Renfro was one of 14 people arrested in a December 22 police sting operation aimed at cracking down on narcotics trafficking in the skid row section of Los Angeles.

Thanks For All The Laughs, Sir!!!
One of the television actors in the history of the medium passed away Friday night. Don Knotts died Friday night of pulmonary and respiratory complications at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, said Paul Ward, a spokesman for the cable network TV Land, which airs "The Andy Griffith Show," and another Knotts hit, "Three's Company."
Its an understatement to say that he will be missed by the multitude of TV generations that he entertained. Thanks for all the laughter, Mr. Knotts!

Why Did Renee Zellwegger and Kenny Chesney split up?
Differences over when to start a family and who would be the primary caregiver as
the basis for the fraud charges. Her lawyer says that during their brief courtship he agreed to start trying for a baby right away since she had a year off and that both of them would be equally responsible for raising their children, but after they were married he told her he wanted to wait two years until his touring obligations were over before starting a family and that she should want to stay home with the kids.

Cheney Shooting Rumor
Rumor has it that an ambulance was present at the time of the shooting in case the Vice President got ill from his serious condition. So, basically, the man he shot only survived because the VP is so sick he needs an ambulance by his side at all times. Don’t you think any man or woman that NEEDS an ambulance to tail them so that they don’t keel over and die should maybe think twice about going out into the woods with a deadly weapon?
Democrats, take note of this info and run with it. You may actually even have a shot at winning the next election.

Richard Hatch Headed For Jail
Survivor winner Richard Hatch was recently found guilty of the two counts of tax evasion he faced, as well as guilty of filing a false tax return.
According to the AP, Hatch was taken into custody after the verdict was read, as “U.S. District Judge Ernest Torres said he was a potential flight risk.” In addition, the AP says the charges he was convicted on “carry a maximum of 13 years in prison,” but the judge “said he expected a sentence of between 33 months and 41 months, but it could be longer because prosecutors accuse Hatch of committing perjury during his testimony.”
