Seems like John McCain is not the maverick he claims to be when it comes to his good, millionaire friends like Donald Diamond. McCain helped Mr. Diamond (Diamond bragged to officials of the area that McCain 'was a good friend'!) buy old military property for $250,000, which he sold for a few years later at $20 million dollars. Here's the whole story:
It goes well beyond the Keating Five By: Steve Benen. When considering John McCain's history of unethical behavior, the list usually starts (and ends) with the Keating Five scandal in the 1980s, for which McCain was rebuked by the Senate Ethics Committee for having shown, at a minimum, poor judgment. In the aftermath, McCain helped improve his public image, and bury the scandal, by becoming an advocate of campaign-finance reform. But the notion that McCain cleaned up his act may not be entirely true. Take, for example, Donald Diamond, a wealthy Arizona real estate developer and generous McCain contributor, who wanted some coastal land in California freed up by an Army base closing. When Mr. Diamond wanted to buy land at the base, Fort Ord, Mr. McCain assigned an aide who set up a meeting at the Pentagon and later stepped in again to help speed up the sale, according to people involved and a deposition Mr. Diamond gave for a related lawsuit. When he appealed to a nearby city for the right to develop other property at the former base, Mr. Diamond submitted Mr. McCain's endorsement as a close personal friend." Writing to officials in the city, Seaside, Calif., the senator said, "You will find him as honorable and committed as I have." Courting local officials and potential partners, Mr. Diamond's team promised that he could "help get through some of the red tape in dealing with the Department of the Army" because Mr. Diamond "has been very active with Senator McCain," a partner said in a deposition. For Mr. McCain, the Arizona Republican who has staked two presidential campaigns on pledges to avoid even the appearance of dispensing an official favor for a donor, Mr. Diamond is the kind of friend who can pose a test. Ya think? The closer one looks at this, the worse it appears. In California, the McCain aide?s assistance with the Army helped Mr. Diamond complete a purchase in 1999 that he soon turned over for a $20 million profit. And Mr. McCain's letter of recommendation reinforced Mr. Diamond's selling point about his McCain connections as he pursued and won in 2005 a potentially much more lucrative deal to develop a resort hotel and luxury housing. In Arizona, Mr. McCain has helped Mr. Diamond with matters as small as forwarding a complaint in a regulatory skirmish over the endangered pygmy owl, and as large as introducing legislation remapping public lands. In 1991 and 1994, Mr. McCain sponsored two laws sought by Mr. Diamond that resulted in providing him millions of dollars and thousands of acres in exchange for adding some of his properties to national parks. The Arizona senator co-sponsored a third similar bill now before the Senate. For the California projects, the campaign said the McCain aide arranged the introduction to an Army official for Mr. Diamond's team as "a constituent matter." Oh, is that what the kids are calling it these days? McCain helped a wealthy and generous donor buy land from the Army complete with special water rights ? for a quarter of a million dollars, which McCain's buddy then sold two years later for $20 million. There's a term for this it's called "influence peddling," and it's exactly the kind of thing McCain swears he never gets involved with.

Inside the Nikki Blonsky Arrest
Nikki Blonsky and her father were arrested in Turks and Caicos for fighting in the departure lounge of the island's airport. The dispute was over 'saved seats'. Nikki was saving 5 seats for her family and Bianca wanted to sit in one. Blonsky and her father fought with former America's Next Top Model Contestant, Bianca Golden and her mother. Nikki fought with Bianca and her Dad beat the crap out of Bianca's mother, so badly that she had to be airflighted to Miami (she is currently in ICU with a head injury). He is still in jail on the island, because the judge did not offer him bail. Nikki and Bianca were both charged with bodily harm and actual assault.

Bianca was involved but Nikki's father beat up Bianca's mother really really badly. So the person who was flown out for medical treatment was the mother. And while they were beating the mother they yelled racial slurs.

But despite all her problems Carol McCain says she still adores he ex-husband
McCain likes to illustrate his moral fibre by referring to his five years as a prisoner-of-war in Vietnam. And to demonstrate his commitment to family values, the 71-year-old former US Navy pilot pays warm tribute to his beautiful blonde wife, Cindy, with whom he has four children.
But there is another Mrs McCain who casts a ghostly shadow over the Senator’s presidential campaign. She is seldom seen and rarely written about, despite being mother to McCain’s three eldest children.
And yet, had events turned out differently, it would be she, rather than Cindy, who would be vying to be First Lady. She is McCain’s first wife, Carol, who was a famous beauty and a successful swimwear model when they married in 1965.
She was the woman McCain dreamed of during his long incarceration and torture in Vietnam’s infamous ‘Hanoi Hilton’ prison and the woman who faithfully stayed at home looking after the children and waiting anxiously for news.
But when McCain returned to America in 1973 to a fanfare of publicity and a handshake from Richard Nixon, he discovered his wife had been disfigured in a terrible car crash three years earlier. Her car had skidded on icy roads into a telegraph pole on Christmas Eve, 1969. Her pelvis and one arm were shattered by the impact and she suffered massive internal injuries.
When Carol was discharged from hospital after six months of life-saving surgery, the prognosis was bleak. In order to save her legs, surgeons
had been forced to cut away huge sections of shattered bone, taking with it her tall, willowy figure. She was confined to a wheelchair and was forced to use a catheter.
Through sheer hard work, Carol learned to walk again. But when John McCain came home from Vietnam, she had gained a lot of weight and bore little resemblance to her old self.
Today, she stands at just 5ft4in and still walks awkwardly, with a pronounced limp. Her body is held together by screws and metal plates and, at 70, her face is worn by wrinkles that speak of decades of silent suffering.
For nearly 30 years, Carol has maintained a dignified silence about the accident, McCain and their divorce. But last week at the bungalow where she now lives at Virginia Beach, a faded seaside resort 200 miles south of Washington, she told The Mail on Sunday how McCain divorced her in 1980 and married Cindy, 18 years his junior and the heir to an Arizona brewing fortune, just one month later.
Carol insists she remains on good terms with her ex-husband, who agreed as part of their divorce settlement to pay her medical costs for life. ‘I have no bitterness,’ she says. ‘My accident is well recorded. I had 23 operations, I am five inches shorter than I used to be and I was in hospital for six months. It was just awful, but it wasn’t the reason for my divorce.
‘My marriage ended because John McCain didn’t want to be 40, he wanted to be 25. You know that happens...it just does.’
Some of McCain’s acquaintances are less forgiving, however. They portray the politician as a self-centred womaniser who effectively abandoned his crippled wife to ‘play the field’. They accuse him of finally settling on Cindy, a former rodeo beauty queen, for financial reasons.
McCain was then earning little more than £25,000 a year as a naval officer, while his new father-in-law, Jim Hensley, was a multi-millionaire who had impeccable political connections.
He first met Carol in the Fifties while he was at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis. He was a privileged, but rebellious scion of one of America’s most distinguished military dynasties – his father and grandfather were both admirals.
But setting out to have a good time, the young McCain hung out with a group of young officers who called themselves the ‘Bad Bunch’.
His primary interest was women and his conquests ranged from a knife-wielding floozy nicknamed ‘Marie, the Flame of Florida’ to a tobacco heiress.
Carol fell into his fast-living world by accident. She escaped a poor upbringing in Philadelphia to become a successful model, married an Annapolis classmate of McCain’s and had two children – Douglas and Andrew – before renewing what one acquaintance calls ‘an old flirtation’ with McCain.
It seems clear she was bowled over by McCain’s attention at a time when he was becoming bored with his playboy lifestyle.
‘He was 28 and ready to settle down and he loved Carol’s children,’ recalled another Annapolis graduate, Robert Timberg, who wrote The Nightingale’s Song, a bestselling biography of McCain and four other graduates of the academy.
The couple married and McCain adopted Carol’s sons.
It was in 1969 that Carol went to spend the Christmas holiday – her third without McCain – at her parents’ home. After dinner, she left to drop off some presents at a friend’s house.
It wasn’t until some hours later that she was discovered, alone and in terrible pain, next to the wreckage of her car. She had been hurled through the windscreen.
After her first series of life-saving operations, Carol was told she may never walk again, but when doctors said they would try to get word to McCain about her injuries, she refused, insisting: ‘He’s got enough problems, I don’t want to tell him.’
H. Ross Perot, a billionaire Texas businessman, future presidential candidate and advocate of prisoners of war, paid for her medical care.
When McCain – his hair turned prematurely white and his body reduced to little more than a skeleton – was released in March 1973, he told reporters he was overjoyed to see Carol again.
But friends say privately he was ‘appalled’ by the change in her appearance. At first, though, he was kind, assuring her: ‘I don’t look so good myself. It’s fine.’
He bought her a bungalow near the sea in Florida and another former PoW helped him to build a railing so she could pull herself over the dunes to the water.
‘I thought, of course, we would live happily ever after,’ says Carol. But as a war hero, McCain was moving in ever-more elevated circles.
Through Ross Perot, he met Ronald Reagan, then Governor of California. A sympathetic Nancy Reagan took Carol under her wing.
But already the McCains’ marriage had begun to fray. ‘John started carousing and running around with women,’ said Robert Timberg.
McCain has acknowledged that he had girlfriends during this time, without going into details. Some friends blame his dissatisfaction with Carol, but others give some credence to her theory of a mid-life crisis.
He was also fiercely ambitious, but it was clear he would never become an admiral like his illustrious father and grandfather and his thoughts were turning to politics.
In 1979 – while still married to Carol – he met Cindy at a cocktail party in Hawaii. Over the next six months he pursued her, flying around the country to see her. Then he began to push to end his marriage.
Carol and her children were devastated. ‘It was a complete surprise,’ says Nancy Reynolds, a former Reagan aide.
‘They never displayed any difficulties between themselves. I know the Reagans were quite shocked because they loved and respected both Carol and John.’
Another friend added: ‘Carol didn’t fight him. She felt her infirmity made her an impediment to him. She justified his actions because of all he had gone through. She used to say, “He just wants to make up for lost time.”’
Indeed, to many in their circle the saddest part of the break-up was Carol’s decision to resign herself to losing a man she says she still adores.
Friends confirm she has remained friends with McCain and backed him in all his campaigns. ‘He was very generous to her in the divorce but of course he could afford to be, since he was marrying Cindy,’ one observed.
McCain transferred the Florida beach house to Carol and gave her the right to live in their jointly-owned townhouse in the Washington suburb of Alexandria. He also agreed to pay her alimony and child support.
A former neighbour says she subsequently sold up in Florida and Washington and moved in 2003 to Virginia Beach. He said: ‘My impression was that she found the new place easier to manage as she still has some difficulties walking.’
Meanwhile McCain moved to Arizona with his new bride immediately after their 1980 marriage. There, his new father-in-law gave him a job and introduced him to local businessmen and political powerbrokers who would smooth his passage to Washington via the House of Representatives and Senate.
And yet despite his popularity as a politician, there are those who won’t forget his treatment of his first wife.
Ted Sampley, who fought with US Special Forces in Vietnam and is now a leading campaigner for veterans’ rights, said: ‘I have been following John McCain’s career for nearly 20 years. I know him personally. There is something wrong with this guy and let me tell you what it is – deceit.
‘When he came home and saw that Carol was not the beauty he left behind, he started running around on her almost right away. Everybody around him knew it.
‘Eventually he met Cindy and she was young and beautiful and very wealthy. At that point McCain just dumped Carol for something he thought was better.
‘This is a guy who makes such a big deal about his character. He has no character. He is a fake. If there was any character in that first marriage, it all belonged to Carol.’
One old friend of the McCains said: ‘Carol always insists she is not bitter, but I think that’s a defence mechanism. She also feels deeply in his debt because in return for her agreement to a divorce, he promised to pay for her medical care for the rest of her life.’
Carol remained resolutely loyal as McCain’s political star rose. She says she agreed to talk to The Mail on Sunday only because she wanted to publicise her support for the man who abandoned her.
Indeed, the old Mercedes that she uses to run errands displays both a disabled badge and a sticker encouraging people to vote for her ex-husband. ‘He’s a good guy,’ she assured us. ‘We are still good friends. He is the best man for president.’
But Ross Perot, who paid her medical bills all those years ago, now believes that both Carol McCain and the American people have been taken in by a man who is unusually slick and cruel – even by the standards of modern politics.
‘McCain is the classic opportunist. He’s always reaching for attention and glory,’ he said.
‘After he came home, Carol walked with a limp. So he threw her over for a poster girl with big money from Arizona. And the rest is history.’

Every single name in the article came from the search warrant affidavit obtained by the journalist who was already writing the article for Rolling Stone. It even says this in the article and draws attention to the fact that the FBI didn't hide girls names but did the courtesy for most clients. Ironic they don't care about exposing the supposed "victims." All the information about my sister comes from there as well.
When I became aware of the article that was being written I decided to contribute to have some control. I was able to keep many names and specifics that were in the search warrant affidavit out of the article this way but not as much as I would have liked and at a great sacrifice to myself. As far as the clients mentioned, they are old public stories. Mark Yagalla and his relationship with me, Tishara Cousino and Sandy Bentley was made public by him in Philadelphia magazine years ago. The story of Michael Fanghella and Kelly Jaye has been all over the Internet for years too. These men were crooks. The journalist just dug up old dirt that anyone else could dig up.
Finally Lezley Zen (not safe for work) owns Hollywood Platinum (not safe for work) and someone else owns Tryst Models. I sold them a website template and contacts to start their own business. The last thing in the world that I want is anything to do with this business. Good luck.
Hollywood Platinum and Tryst Models basically feature the same models; the only difference is that they are made from different layouts and colors. In my opinion, they are very likely the same agency.

Lindsay Looked High Today
A reader encounter actress / druggie Lindsay Lohan at a North Hollywood pizza restaurant today and sent in this account:
I saw Linday Lohan at Pitfire Pizza today in North Hollywood. I went in for lunch as usual and as I was walking in saw all of the photographers. I asked the girl at the counter why they were there and she said Lindsay Lohan was inside. I ordered my food and then saw Lindsay. She had two handlers with her, both female and one was seriously rotund. She was just sitting there, no food or drink in front of her and was talking animatedly to the handlers rather loudly. Everyone in the restaurant could hear her say ,'Minimize that.' etc. None of the things she said actually made sense, it all just sounded like a bunch of random sentences. Her handlers just sat there and smiled like she was a four year old they were trying to keep happy. It was totally bizarre. She seemed 'jumpy' and couldn't stop moving. She really got a thrill out of people looking at her.
I sat and waited on my food. I thought it would be fun to take a picture of her with my phone and did so. Then some male parolee type from Cochran prison she had hired as security materialized out of nowhere and barked at me 'No pictures.' Douche bag.
Next, Lindsay, handlers, and ex-prisoner bodyguard moved to an outside table. I have no idea why, because then the paparazzos started shooting photos of her. At the table, she was fidgety and switched seats with one of the handlers. The scuzzy bodyguard just glowered at people like some sort of freak.
Overall, I don't buy the whole 'drug free' Lindsay story. She sounded like she was high on something when she spoke (it was like she was reciting random stream of consciousness poetry) and was 'twitchy' (couldn't stay still). She seriously needs help and I don't mean people who are paid to watch her, but some sort of stable family intervention. Those handlers didn't give a shit about her, they were obviously just babysitters.
Lindsay looks just like her photos in person. Her hair is very blonde and has a 'strawlike' texture. She needs to lay off the bleach. Whomever is employing her now is not doing her any favors. She is obviously an addict.

Inside the 'I Know Who Killed Me' screening
Lindsay Lohan was absent from her 'I Know Who Killed Me' premiere due to her current difficulties (i.e. being arrested for a DUI and cocaine possession). Here are observations from someone who attended the premiere.
I tagged along with a friend of mine to the 'I Know Who Killed Me 'screening at the Academy in Beverly Hills last night. Co stars Neil McDonough and Julia Ormond were in attendance, but the star of the show (Lindsay Lohan) was noticeably absent. As the movie begins, producer Frank Mancuso Jr. gets up and says the requisite "thanks for coming" and "thanks for all your hard work" and then goes there by saying that we've "seen things on this movie we never thought we would see in this town" and that after Lindsay's "most recent problem" they considered not even having this screening.
But like the brave soldiers they are, they refused to be "held hostage by someone else's issues" because it would not be fair to the people who did the majority of the work on this movie.
Also, in the scene where Lindsay gets hit in the face with a shovel-- a scene meant to be terrifying--the audience erupted into laughter. Another not-funny-but-funny moment: when Lilo's stripper character who may or may not be suffering from a split personality is being questioned by cops, she refers to her mother as "a crackwhore, disgusting, pathetic"...ouch Dina! The line was received by riotous laughter.

Mindy McCready in trouble with the police again
The rumors swirl as former country music singer Mindy Mc Cready recovers from yet another brush with the law in Florida. This time, she was arrested in Florida for attacking her mother. So far, her mother has refused to sign the police statement she made regarding Mindy's attack on her.

Paris Released Early
As you may have heard by now, Paris Hilton has been released from jail over two week early due to 'medical conditions'. What condition is she suffering from? It is confidential.
Is the Los Angeles County law enforcement guilty of giving celebrities special treatment? Definitely. Sheriff's spokesperson Steve Whitmore tried to cover up Mel Gibson's racist tirade after he was arrested, Lane Garrison was notimmediately arrested after being caught drunk driving and now Paris has been let go early because she is 'sick'.
Doesn't the jail have a hospital inside? Why couldn't Paris be held there?

If Slade is so well off, why did he need to take out 2 lines of credit, one on the day of buying the house and the other 1 month later, totalling $234,550? Then, a year later took out a second mortgage for $225,300

The tube that comes off of the band leads to the port.
After you have this surgery or any gastric bypass surgery the patient will need Vitamin B12 injections for life. Also, you have restrictions on eating protein…greasy fat meat is prohibited. The eating of fatty protein causes dumping syndrome in most patients.
Most patients need to drink there food to get the vitamins their body needs. Vitamins have a hard time being absorbed into the body after bariatric surgery; therefore the patients must drink and inject vitamins. Pills are not absorbed well and are not highly recommended.

The inside scoop on the Lane Garrison fatal auto accident
Lane Garrison, who played the recently killed off 'Tweener' on the Fox show 'Prison Break', was involved in a fatal car crash this weekend which killed one of his passengers (17 year old boy) and injured the other two (two 15 year old girls).
The teen boy was a student at Beverly Hills High School in Beverly Hills, CA. The two teen girls lived in the Valley and may have been students at a strict religious Orthodox school called Shalhevet. There was a memorial service today at the school for the 17 year old boy who died in the crash. His name was Vahagn and he was his parent's only child. According to sources, he only got in the car because the two 15 year old girls wanted to ride with the TV actor and he wanted to make sure that they would be alright. Another version has the TV actor saying that he would only go and buy alcohol for the party if the two teenage girls came with him and the teenage boy decided to go as well to protect the girls.
After the accident occurred, a source says,"My mom's boss was on the scene right after the crash, and apparently Garrison was doing his best to tamper with the scene to make it look like Vahagn was driving."
This information would jibe with the fact that Garrison was not immediately arrested after the crash. Why wasn't he given a breathalizer? Even if he were injured, a blood sample could have been taken in order to access his level of alcohol intoxication. Is he going to get away with murder?
Another rumor says that Lane Garrison already has one DUI on his record.
Why was he at a high school party? What sort of normal 26 year old likes to party with high school kids?
Lane was also a hellraiser growing up. He lived with Jessica Simpson's family for a while as a teen, because he could not get along with his parents.
This is a possible link to the 17 year old boy's MySpace account.
Rumor has it that Garrison just hired the same attorney as Rebecca Gayheart who moved down a 9 year old child a few years ago. Gayheart got off with a minor fine and some community service and still has a lucrative acting career.

We have since found out that, that third person was Howard K. Stern. Now, after this Larry King appearance, perhaps it is "fair" to say that Stern gave Daniel "something" which, added to his already administered drugs, caused the fatal attack. The story has become a bit more clear. This is the only thing that can make any sense.

Matt Dillon Acts Like An Asshole
According to Page Six:
MATT Dillon was no friend to his fans at the New York screening of "Factotum." The event was part of the "Young Friends of Film" series at Lincoln Center where guests paid $60 for the screening and a cocktail reception at which they had a chance to meet the homegrown star. One attendee approached Dillon and said, "I really liked the movie." Dillon grunted, "Yeah," and turned and walked away, said a witness - "He didn't even say 'thank you.' " Dillon beat it after signing just one autograph and posing for a few photos - odd behavior for a promotional event.
Its no wonder this asshole's career never took off after all the hype he received as a teenager almost thirty years ago.

LOHAN SACKED HER UK RECORD LABEL
Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been fired by her UK record label Island Records after she failed to travel to London for a planned promotional campaign for her album SPEAK. The disc, which was recorded last year (05), ended up being shelved by the furious pop bosses, who are now snubbing her completely.
An industry insider tells British newspaper The Sun, "A single was a huge flop over here because Lindsay couldn't be bothered to promote it.
"In the end they didn't even bother releasing the album in Britain. She didn't bother to come over to the UK to do interviews or make TV appearances to help sell the album.
"Island have now decided not to do another one with her."

Ashley Judd is high maintenance
Who would have guessed that actress Ashley Judd is high maintenance? Here is an account from someone who went to Africa with her:
Whom the Gods Would Destroy....They first make jaw-droppingly
attractive and immensely famous. Exhibit A: Ashley Judd, world-renowned
actress, would-be leftist political agitator, and self-regarded
humanitarian. I see in the latest issue of Glamour -- because someone
showed me -- that Ms Judd has had some troubles. Deeply personal
troubles. Inner, psychological troubles, including Ò[c]odependence in
my relationships; depression; blaming, raging, numbing, denying and
minimizing my feelings.Ó These things are, curiously, Òaddictions.Ó
As I read the Glamour piece, familiar things came back to me: Her need
to mention her Òperfection.Ó Her relaying of third-party affirmations
of her attractiveness and personal integrity. Her desire to make
others' suffering about her. Her sly digs at her sister. And of course,
her need to tell us all about it.
You see, dear reader, Ms Judd and I have spent some time together. Do
read on.
To set the scene, I should note that in early 2005, my then-employer
was a major donor to YouthAIDS, an "awareness" organization that does
some AIDS-prevention work abroad, but mostly appears to function as a
sort of clearinghouse for the easing of the celebrity conscience. (For
a sterling example of that, see its latest campaign.) One of its
periodic publicity tactics is the sending of its celebrities on junkets
to the wretched corners of the Earth: that's how Ashley Judd came to do
a three-nation tour of Africa in the winter of that year. YouthAIDS
invited the president of my employer, who didn't want to go
(Africa-phobia being a common affliction of the less-traveled
businessman). He passed it down to his subordinate, who passed it on to
hers, who passed it on to me. For my part, several days in South Africa
with a movie star sounded like a swell deal. And so I found myself on a
very odd trip with a very odd person. Given that Ashley's ambitions of
turning her online trip journal into a book have come to naught -- in
part, no doubt, because the YouthAIDS staffers kept having to scrub it
of bizarre details like rhapsodies on the tactile joys of cheetah
testicles -- history must know the truth of that voyage. Or at least,
my version of it.
And what, you ask, was travel with Ashley Judd like? For starters,
there were the little things:
She obsessively wiped down her little VAIO laptop with alcohol wipes.
To sterilize it. As she did after. every. use. (In her Glamour
confessional, she did mention this as a ÒcontrolÓ compulsion.)
She was badly constipated, perhaps because she chowed down on Powerbars
with alacrity. And she talked about it a lot.
She was prone to making pronouncements about her spirituality. After an
interviewer asked her about it, she replied: "Church and religion are
SO important to me. The God thing, the Jesus thing, the Buddha thing,
so important to me."
And then there were the bigger things.
My first meeting with her was in the South African Airways lounge in
Cape Town. She showed us this photo of her rallying the Cats fans at a
Kentucky basketball game. She said, ÒHave you SEEN this photo? I LOVE
this photo. We weren't doing so well, and so I came out at halftime --
even though I was on crutches! -- and rallied the crowd. And they
SAY...." -- dramatic pause -- "....that that made the difference in
bringing us victory."
Dumbly eager to ingratiate, and having swiftly realized that bringing
up Ensign Lefler was a bad move, I responded: "One of my friends sent
me that photo, telling me what a big UK fan you are."
Her eyes narrowed, and she assumed a look of boredom and disgust:
"Mmm-hmmm." She turned away.
Days later, sitting across from Ashley at a pleasant little
patio-restaurant on the sunny veld, I tried again: "My wife wants me to
tell you that she just saw De-Lovely, and she really liked your work in
it."
"Well, yeah," replied Ashley, as if I'd just announced a blue sky,
"It's a good movie."
Nothing quite seemed to work, and things only went downhill. One
morning, just after 10am, I found myself in the lobby of our hotel in
Johannesburg, waiting with the YouthAIDS personnel for a very late
Ashley. I called up an acquaintance in town with whom I was planning to
have dinner later, and in the course of the conversation, she expressed
immense excitement at the nearness of Ashley Judd, whom she apparently
admired. As she gushed about her admiration, lo, Ashley appeared,
walking a bit aimlessly through the lobby, holding a steaming teapot in
one hand and a handbag in the other. I should preface the following by
relating that when at the RNC in 2004, Mo Rocca was actually generous
enough to take my cellphone and chat with my wife for a minute (thus
earning me some points on the home front). I figured I might do the
same for this die-hard African Ashley Judd fan. Cell phone in hand, I
walked up to Ashley, who wore a confused look as I approached. She
pulled her handbag and teapot close to her, and I noted that the latter
had a large WOMEN FOR KERRY-EDWARDS sticker on it.
"Ashley, I don't mean to impose, but would you mind saying hello to one
of your South African fans?"
She narrowed her eyes at me and snapped, "Yes, I would mind. You need
to give me some time to get the cobwebs out!" I apologized and backed
away. My acquaintance did not speak with her adored celebrity, but she
did get to overhear someone she knew annoy her. I ended the
conversation and followed the YouthAIDS entourage out to the waiting
vehicles. Ashley staggered forward, gripping her pot of tea and taking
it into the car with her. One of the YouthAIDS staffers asked, "Do you
want a cup for that tea?" She mumbled, "I have one somewhere." But
where? In that newly-rented Land Rover? She slouched into the back seat
and disappeared.
When we arrived at the clinic we were visiting, a couple of the
YouthAIDS people came up to me: "What on earth did you do to Ashley
this morning?" I explained, and they told me that she was feeling
terrible. Make that TERRIBLE, in all caps. The poor woman had her
massage at 7pm the previous night, and went to bed shortly thereafter.
If this seems absurdly early, know that Ms Judd required a whopping
fourteen hours of downtime -- most of which was sleep -- per day. But
"traffic noise" woke her up at 6am (which struck me as unlikely -- she
was on the tenth floor of a well-appointed luxury hotel in placid,
leafy Rosebank). With the appointed fourteen hours thus interrupted,
she slept again till about 9:45am -- which meant that when I ambushed
her with the cell phone, she had just awoken. To top it all off, she
was now convinced that she had caught some manner of cold or flu from
one of the YouthAIDS staff members.
I need to add that this afflicted YouthAIDS staff member was a total
trouper. She worked hard all day, despite her constant sneezing,
sniffling, and coughing: three things Ashley Judd had not done once
since awakening and seizing her teapot. The staff member? Sent home.
Ashley Judd? She demanded the summoning of a Chinese
healer-acupuncturist so she might be cured immediately.
Now, let me remind the reader that we were in bloody Africa. There are
many lovely things about Africa, and especially about South Africa.
Still, continent-wide, the standard for a good day there is pretty set:
Do I own nothing?
Is my flesh rotting?
Do I have to sleep near or on feces?
If you can answer no to all three questions, you have had a good day in
Africa! The YouthAIDS staff scattered to the four winds, seeking a
Chinese healer-acupuncturist for Ashley. Mercifully, the hotel staff
knew of one. They'd dealt with American celebrities before.
Slumming it for the shorties.
Meanwhile, we went to clinics. We went to an orphanage. We went to
Soweto. And we saw horrible things. Dire things. Things like a kid so
poor he glided past us on a single rollerblade. Yeah -- one on one
foot. That impressed me. And every place we went, Ashley Judd swooped
down like a good Southern matron and hugged the small children. She
cried with destitute mothers. She stroked the heads of poor black
people. The photographers from Glamour and Conde Nast loved it. And
then, she's back in the car, and Ashley is tired, and Ashley is sick,
and Ashley needs acupuncture. I asked the YouthAIDS senior person
whether maybe Ashley was a bit spoiled, and she told me the story of
how Ashley refused to do their first promotional tour to Cambodia
unless she was allowed to fly British Airways first class all the way.
"That's quite an expense for us as a humanitarian organization....but
we ended up having to do it."
A profound love for humanity, but no time for humans: the very picture
of the narcissist celebrity leftist.
Fast-forward a few days. The road to the De Beers mines in Cullinan is
a long one, and so there was plenty of time for Ashley Judd, teapot in
hand and this time with a cup, to hold forth on the critical issues of
the day to the captive audience in her Land Rover. I sat behind her and
listened to her monologues on her constipation, her preferences in
clothing, and her water temperature preferences:
"You have to drink warm water -- body temperature is best -- because
otherwise the cold makes your gut clench up and the body has to expend
energy warming it. That's why I never use ice."
No one, including those who understood that this was utter nonsense,
contradicted her. After all, she also believes in qi energy and the
manipulation thereof by healer-acupuncturists. And that's not all she
believes in:
"We got this little wood ring....what was the tree called? Anyway, you
burn it because, according to African folklore, it wards off evil
spirits. Sort of like Native Americans and sage -- which I carry lots
of and burn all the time."
And then there was her little amulet around her neck:
"That? That's Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of Montana."
No further explanation was offered. The amulet, by the bye, rested
underneath another, cross-shaped one. [Ed. note: as I look up Lakshmi,
I see that she is sometimes perceived as the Hindu goddess of money, so
in fairness, perhaps I mis-heard that one.]
And then there was her participation in the great moral struggles of
the modern era:
"I was so thrilled to meet Bishop Tutu. He has been such a hero to me.
I used to listen to records of his speeches smuggled out in the 1980s.
He so inspired me, with his fight against these forces that totally
perverted and distorted what spirituality and religion are supposed to
mean. I really think that his fight then echoes my fight today in my

elderly Boer couple. We drank rooibos tea and scarfed down biltong in
the heat of a veld afternoon, and all was lovely. Ashley Judd regaled
us with tales of profound human suffering:

first-class section, and they seated us where we could hear EVERYTHING
going on in the galley. Clink, clink, clink, the whole time. I asked
them to stop, and the little motherfuckers gave me such attitude. It

hold my hand, and I bawled all the way from Los Angeles to London."
Later, emerging from a Catholic-run mental-retardation care facility
with some particularly horrific cases of human misery, she leaned over
to confide, "My sister could never handle this. Not like I can."

Star Jones Leaves The View
The whole world knew Star Jones was leaving 'The View', but not until later this summer. Yesterday, Star announced that she was leaving the show effective immediately.
Today, Barbara Walters said that she felt betrayed by Star's sudden departure. In addition, she added that Star had known for months that her contract was not being renewed and that ABC and herself had decided not to make the reasons public in order to 'protect Star'.
Walters said, "We hoped that she would announce it here on the program and leave with dignity, but Star made another choice."

Diamond, best known as geeky Screech Powers on the 1989-1993 teen
comedy series "Saved by the Bell," is selling T-shirts with his photo
on them to try to raise $250,000 so he doesn't lose his gray two-story
house under a foreclosure order.
"If the public didn't care, I as an entertainer wouldn't have been a
success," he said.
Diamond, 29, is trying to sell nearly 30,000 shirts — at $15 or $20
(autographed) each — to supplement the income he makes as a standup
comic so he doesn't have to move from his Port Washington home, about
25 miles north of Milwaukee.
The T-shirt has a photo of Diamond holding a sign that says, "Save My
House." The back of the shirt reads, "I paid $15.00 to save Screeech's
house." The third "e" was added to get around copyright laws, he said.

Child welfare officials and a sheriff's deputy visited the home of Britney Spears
Spears and her husband, Kevin Federline, are the parents of an infant son, Sean Preston (for the meantime, till CPS confiscates him! Lol).
The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services and the Lost Hills sheriff's station declined to give details of Saturday afternoon's visit.
"It's a very standard, routine patrol request," Lt. Debra Glaskides said Tuesday. "We just roll out with them. We stood by, we took no action, no report or anything."
This is the second visit in two months. How white trash is this?

Jackson Gets Delay on Neverland Wages
Michael Jackson got a day's reprieve on a deadline to pay a $100,000 fine and $306,000 in wages he owes Neverland Ranch employees.
Jackson now has until 5 p.m. Wednesday to pay the penalty and remit back wages owed dozens of workers, who complained to the state that they hadn't been paid since Dec. 19.
The 47-year-old pop star could face a state lawsuit if he doesn't
comply by then.

More on Paris' Restraining Order
On Monday, a court commissioner signed off on an unusual keep-away order that prevents the hotel heiress from coming within 100 yards of event planner Brian Quintana--unless, that is, the dueling duo happen to be attending the same function.
In a nod to the close quarters at some of the events where Hilton and Quintana might both turn up, their attorneys hammered out an agreement that permits Hilton to come within 25 feet of Quintana should they find themselves at the same party.
According to the court documents, in the event Hilton and Quintana do attend the same function, Hilton is not permitted to have her rival removed from the festivities, as that would constitute harassment.
The party planner, who had filed court documents alleging Hilton had threatened him on several occasions, said he was satisfied with the arrangement.
"I have no problem being in the same room with her if she can demonstrate that she knows how to behave like a young lady," he told Los Angeles' City News Service.
Quintana testified last month that his relationship with Hilton turned nasty after she overheard him informing her beau, Stavros Niarchos, that she might have a sexually transmitted disease.
"I wanted him to be aware of it--that she had herpes. To make sure he didn't catch anything. He informed me that he was [aware]," Quintana said.
He said Hilton interrupted his conversation with Niarchos and became "furious."
"She said, 'This is between the three of us; if this gets out you're a f---ing dead man,'" Quintana said. He claimed that after the exchange, he began receiving suspicious phone calls and started to believe his life was in "imminent danger."
Quintana further alleged Hilton "has a drug and alcohol problem, some rather shady associates and is known for erratic behavior."
Rumor has it that Hilton has paid off prior disgruntled former lovers to keep them going to the media with the story.

Wasser, who has handled the marital breakups of Hollywood powerhouses like Tom Cruise, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Spielberg, was the lawyer who government investigators say had steered Mr. Pellicano to the lawyer for Kirk Kerkorian, the Las Vegas mogul and former owner of MGM. Kerkorian's lawyer is Terry N. Christensen who was recently indicted for allegedly having the ex-wife of billionaire investor Kirk Kerkorian wiretapped in their paternity and child support battle.
A person familiar with the investigation confirmed that Mr. Cruise, who has also been a legal client of Mr. Fields, was approached by F.B.I. agents at least twice. But it is unclear whether the F.B.I. was seeking to question Mr. Cruise about Mr. Pellicano.

It has been revealed that Nick Lachey is suing his estranged wife Jessica Simpson for ‘breach of contract’.
According to the Post Chronicle, court documents state that Lachey is suing Simpson for ending their marriage three months before the couple contractually agreed to be publicly married.

Lindsay Lohan Hospitalized For An Asthma Attack?
Lindsay Lohan was admitted to a hospital in Miami on Monday after suffering an asthma attack. Supposedly, the attack was so bad that it caused a broken blood vessel in her neck, which prompted doctors to advise the actress to seek treatment at the hospital. According to her publicist, Lohan is still in the hospital for observation.
Has anyone ever heard of Lindsay having asthma? I guess her publicists couldn't roll out the 'exhaustion' excuse again.

Back in May, A Current Affair ran a segment on Stern’s girlfriend, Beth O. It was chock full of ”Beauty and The Beast” references. He railed about Rupert Murdoch and his young bride and said he was going to seek out embarrassing photos of the Murdochs and A Current Affair personnel. He vowed to “make their lives miserable.”

There are emails allegedly taken from Paris Hilton's Sidekick. It's juicy stuff. There are two emails purportedly from Lindsay Lohan about Jessica Simpson doing 'blow' in the bathroom of the Shore Club. The same email states that Jessica requested 'blow' during a previous visit to the club. There's also an email allegedly from Fred Durst where he complains about her cutting him off and that he hasn't shaved since he's seen her. Another email is allegedly from Guy Oseary where he cautions her about telling people that she's drunk and high and that she need to stop it so that good things will happen to her. Another alleged email from Lindsay Lohan suggests 'setting the lip syncer up with coke' (i.e. Ashlee Simpson). In that email, you can see the original email sent to Lindsay from Paris where Paris gleefully describes Ashlee getting booed. Another alleged email is from Simon Rex proclaiming that 'you are the best f*ck ever'. Members can login and get the link to site. Paris allegedly also emailed photos of herself topless and bottomless to someone named 'Mark', who I suspect is Mark Philippoussis, the Australian tennis pro.

1. Plaintiff Jonathan Adler at all times herein mentioned was, an
individual residing in the State of California, County of Los
Angeles, and is suing both in his individual capacity and on behalf
of the general public as to the third cause of action.
2. Plaintiff Jonathon Wright is, and at all times herein mentioned
was, an individual residing in the State of California, County of Los
Angeles, and is suing both in his individual capacity and on behalf
of the general public as to the third cause of action.
Defendant Entertainment Partners Group, Inc.
(hereinafter "Entertainment Partners" is, and at all times herein
mentioned was, a California corporation in good standing and doing
business in the County of Los Angeles, State of California. Defendant
Entertainment Partners is a subisidiary of defendant Draney as 100%
of it's stock is owned by said defendant.
Defendant Carl Joy is, and at all times herein mentioned was, an
individual residing in the County of Los Angeles, State of California
and was a vice president of defendant Entertainment Partners and the
manager of defendant Central Casting.
Defendant Richard Spiker and/or Steven Spiker individually, and doing
business as Extras! Management, were, and at all times herein
mentioned are doing business in the County of Los Angeles, State of
California.
Defendant Jimmy Jue is, and at all times herein mentioned was, an
individual residing in the State of California, County of Los
Angeles, and employed by Central Casting as a casting director.
Defendant Rodney Epps is, and at all times herein mentioned was, an
individual residing in the State of California, County of Los
Angeles, and employed by Central Casting at some unknown time
believed to be in 2003.
Plaintiffs are ignorant of the true names and capacities of
defendants sued herein as Does 1 through 300, inclusive, and
therefore sue these defendants by such fictitious names. Plaintiffs
will seek leave of court to amend the Complaint to allege the true
names and capacities of such defendants when same is ascertained.
In doing the things as alleged herein, each of the business entity
defendants knew, or should have known of the conduct and activities
of the acts committed by defendants Jimmy Jue, Rodney Epps and does 1
through 100 as alleged herein and consented to, acquiesced in and/or
ratified the conduct of said defendants.
As will be explained herein, Central Casting and Extras! Management
and it's predecessors conspired to and did develop a scheme to
defraud members of the Screen Actors Guild(hereinafter SAG) seeking
employment as extras in theatrical, television and commercial
productions. The scheme to defraud includes, but is not limited to:
A-Charging an artist/extra an advance fee for procuring, offering,
promising or attempting to procure employment or engagements for a
monthly fee believed to be $65.00 without a written contract in
violation of Labor Code Section 1701.4 and as further described
herein;
B-providing employees, friends and/or family
(hereinafter "politicals") of defendants Central Casting, Extras!
Management, Jue and Does 1 through 100 with a disproportionately high
number of SAG engagements, including television commercials which
were at a higher pay scale, even when some of these politicals were
not SAG members to the detriment of SAG members(hereinafter "extras"
at times);
C-By suggesting, cajoling, compelling, and in other ways letting SAG
members know that is would be in their best interests to register
with Extras! Management at $65 a month in order to obtain engagements
from Central Casting thereby engaging in extortion in violation of
Penal Code Section 518;
D-By soliciting bribes and/or kickbacks in the form of cash and good
from those extras seeking engagements to ensure repeated and/or
higher paying engagements to the detriment of those SAG members
unwilling to pay such tribute in violation of Penal Code Section
641.3;
E-Defendant Extras! Management maintained a star or point system to
track the number of engagements a monthly paying SAG member received
to ensure that such member would receive a minimum number of
engagements a month to ensure the continued payment of $65.00 a
month.
The scheme to defraud works as follows:
A-A SAG member would pay a $20.00 registration fee to register with
Central Casting;
B-The SAG member would be encouraged to register with Extras!
Management to obtain engagements because Central Casting would
provide exclusive engagements offerings to Extras! Management.
Extras! Management would have photos of the SAG member on file
together with other identifying information so as to give the
impression that if would select the most suitable extra for the
offering;
C-When an engagement was available the extra would be called by
defendant Extras! Management and be provided with the name of the
casting director at Central Casting for more details about the
engagement;
D-In many instances and over many years, in order to obtain frequent
and ongoing engagements the extra was solicited to and did provide
things of value such as cash, cars, television sets, and other such
valuable considerations to Casting directors in order to obtain
future and frequent engagments;
E-Friends, family members, and employees of Central Casting and
Extras! Management would receive engagements without the necessity of
paying kickbacks and would also receive a disproportionately higher
number of engagements than those paying $65 a month, without the
necessity of registering with defendant Extras! Management and having
to pay said monthly fee;
F-Friends, family members, and employees of defendants Central
Casting and Extras! Management who were not SAG members would
nevertheless be sent to engagements which required such membership
and were provided with discretionary SAG union vouchers by the
assistant director or other appropriate personnel responsible for
this function. On occasion, unused SAG vouchers were sold on location
for $50 and submitted for payment as though the individual had
worked;
G-SAG members would obtain union engagements and appear on location
and forced to accept non-union vouchers and be paid at minimum wage
rather than union scale.
H-Bribes and/or kickbacks were paid to employees of defendant Central
Casting and others as part of the overall scheme to defraud.
I-When extras would voice disagreement and object to the system
created by the defendants, they would be threatened with being
blackballed, would be blackballed from further engagements, and in
other ways be damaged; and
J-When an extra stopped and/or refused to pay bribes and /or
kickbacks or the $65.00 a month to Extras! Management, the number of
engagements received was drastically cut back or no engagements were
received.
Plaintiffs Jonathan Adler and Jonathon Wright are two such SAG
members who did not succumb to the scheme to defraud to their
financial detriment.
Defendant Jimmy Jue is believed to have accepted kickbacks from
extras in the form of cash, car(s), a television set and other
personal property from an unknown date, but believed to be as early
as 1994, and continuing to the present.
Defendant Rodney Epps is believed to have accepted kickbacks in the
form of cash based on a percentage of the earnings received by the
extra from an unknown date up to and including sometime in 2003.
Upon information and belief, does 1 through 100 also received
kickbacks in the form of cash and/or other personal property in
exchange for providing extras with repeated engagements.
The conduct and actions of defendants Jue, Epps and does 1 through
100 was and is of common knowledge in the extras industry, with other
casting companies, call-in services, and production entities to the
extent that the defendant employers knew or should have known of the
practices as alleged herein and, in not addressing said practices
consented to, acquiesced in, and/or ratified such conduct.
Note: These are the General Allegations excerpted from the actual
Lawsuit Complaint filed against the Defendants.
Latest case status: The Defendants recently failed in their attempt
to have the case dismissed by moving it to Federal Court. Our remand
motion to return it to State Court was successful and several of the
Defendants are now scheduled for depositions.

The Times Picayune has an article on Lindsay Lohan who is filming locally (in New Orleans). Here's the good part:
She's making a movie, a romantic comedy originally called "Lady Luck," then changed to "Just My Luck" and now officially tagged "The Untitled Lindsay Lohan Project." That's an appropriately vague name for a movie that will probably end up so disjointed because of its erratic shooting schedule -- dependent upon Lohan's moods and frequent sick leaves from the set -- that even money says it will bypass theatrical release and go straight to video.
Says a veteran New Orleans film crew member who has worked about 10 films in the past two years: "I've never seen anything like this. She is making our lives a living hell. It's just not professional."
A local actor who worked two nights on the set with Lohan at the Contemporary Arts Center (which was portraying a New York City art gallery) reports that tension was constantly in the air.
While everyone else would rehearse for a scene, Lohan would sit in a corner and a stand-in would do her scene with the other principle actors. Then, when film rolled, Lindsay would saunter over and repeatedly flub her lines.
Said the local actor: "If I had to learn four lines and had all day to do it -- and was paid millions of dollars to do it -- I think I could do it. The whole thing was more like a scene from a movie than a set for a movie: The star throws a fit and someone has to console her and lead her away. That happened twice while I was there."
