Karen Black

A kind reader sent in this story about famous 70s actress Karen Black.

I was in the piano bar at the Austin Driskill Hotel with Karen Black about 8 years ago. There was an older black woman playing the piano and singing for patrons. After a few drinks, Karen got up from her chair and jerked the microphone away from the lady and told her, “That’s not how you’re supposed to sing that song!” Everyone in the room was in complete shock. A drunk Karen then proceeded to sing the song the way she thought it should be sung. After the song was over, she gave the microphone back and left.
